Mr. Garey submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Esma Lowe, folder of the House, have leave
of absence until Monday next.

On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 3, of Article 43, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Habeas Corpus," and re-
enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Kean,

Leave was granted to the Allegany delegation to introduce
a bill incorporating the Chesapeake Coal and Iron Company.

On motion of Mr. Veitch,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 138, of Article 16, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title
"Trustee," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Kilbourn,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal the 3d section of the Act of 1868,
chapter 302, relating to recovery of money paid by mistake
into the Treasury of the State.

On motion of Mr. Richards,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to enable the citizens of any election district,
town or county within this State, to determine by ballot
whether any liquor shall be sold within the same.

On motion of Mr. Wiley,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend Article 4, section 861, of the Public
Local Laws, relating to Baltimore city, in relation to paving
of streets.

On motion of Mr. Biddle.

Leave was granted to the Cecil and Kent delegations to
introduce a bill for the better protection of the bridge over
Sassafras river, from Fredericktown, in Cecil county, to
Gsorgetown, in Kent county.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill for the relief of the sureties of James B.
Price, late Sheriff of Cecil county.
