Mr. Standish presented the petition of Henry Wagner and
others, of Ailegany county, for the passage of a law to re-
fund them money paid for substitutes.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Veitch presented the following petitions :

The petition of Priscilla Fisher, of Montgomery county, for
a pension.

Also,

The petition of Susanna Knox, of Montgomery county, for
a pension.

Also,

The petition of Deborah Price, of Montgomery county, for
a pension.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Garey presented the petition of W. P. Richardson,
W. W. Deweese and 85 others, asking a division of district
No. 3, Caroline county, into two election districts.

Which were read and referred to the Caroline delegatioa
and Mr. Thomas, of Queen Anne's.

Mr. White presented the petition of Thomas F. Cagan and
25 others, protesting against the passage of a bill authori-
zing the extension of the corporate limits of Frederick.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
Mr. Garey presented the following petitions :
The petition of Catharine Weal, asking for a pension.
Also,

The petition of Elizabeth Christopher, asking for a pen-
sion

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Neill presented

The petition of Thomas A. Boullt and 27 other stockhold-
ers of the Hagerstown Gas Light Company, asking for an
amendment to its charter.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

Also,

The petition of Daniel Dechert, Ezra Burtner, Josephus
Ground and others, asking the passage of a law prohibiting
fishing in the Antietam creek and its tributaries, from the
