The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate
bill entitled an Act to amend the Public Local Laws passed
January session, 1865, chapter 31, so as to exempt Somerset
and Worcester counties from the effect of the second section
thereof, so far as relates to the publication of the Local Laws.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Colton,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill with amendments ordered to be printed.

On motion of Mr. Shower,

The rules were suspended, and the House proceeded to the
consideration of the Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an
Act, entitled an Act to incorporate the Parkton and Manches-
ter Railroad Company, passed at the January session, A. D.,
1868.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

The question recurring upon the following proposed amend-
ment:

Section 3, line 4, after the word " the," insert: Western
Maryland Railroad,

The amendment was adopted.

And the bill as amended, read a second time.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the New York and
George's CYeek Coal Company,

Being upon a second reading,

The question recurring upon proposed amendments thereto,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill ordered to be printed.

The bill entitled an additional supplement to an Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Roman Catholic Congrega-.
tion in Baltimore town, passed November session, 1795,
chapter 15, to enable the said Corporation to purchase a new
burial ground,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
