cle 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Allegany
county."

The Report was adopted.

Mr. Dennis, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act entitled
an Act to regulate the compensation of the State's Attorney,
of Worcester county, passed February 11th, 1864, and re-
enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Gorman, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the St. James and
Ellicott, City Turnpike Company.

Whii'h was read a first time.

Mr. Brattan, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 139, 140. 141, 142,
143, 144, 145, 146, 147 and 148, of the Code of Public Local
LawM, for Somerset county, relating to retailers, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Colton, the rules were suspended, and

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for the purchase
of a lot of ground, in which to inter the remains of the Con-
federate dead at Point Lookout in St. Mary's county, whilst
prisoners of war during the late civil strife, aud enclose and
ornament the same.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

The bill was then read a third time and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows :
