ford, Hopkins, Hardcastle, of Caroline, Garey, Sanner, Ham-
ilton, Cooper, Morse, Blake, Webb, Wilson, of Baltimore
city, Wiley, McLane, Colton, Kirk, Collins, Ehlen, Gard-
ner, Markland, Marshall, Hoblitzell, Welty, Sword, Seibert,
Hilton, Veitch, Watkins, Kean, Wilson, of Allegany, Stan-

Mr. Blake presented the following petitions :

The petition of Thos. Gale, a soldier of the war of 1812,
asking to be placed on the pension list in common with others.

Also,

The petition of Sarah Scarborough, of Harford county,
widow of Archibald Scarborough, a soldier of the war of
1812.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Marbury presented a petition for a new election dis-
trict for Prince George's county, to be formed from parts of
Piscataway, Aquasco and Nottingham districts.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Mr. Owings presented the petition of Margaret Grey, ask-
ing for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Thomas, of Frederick, presented the petition of John
F. Jones, John W. Dutrow and 38 other citizens of Fred-
erick county, praying a change in the law regulating the
inspection of weights and measures so as to require the in-
spector to visit annually the principal places of business to
inspect their weights and measures.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.

Mr. Wilson, of Baltimore city, presented the petition of
Harry S. Evans, Wm. Siddons, Wm. Snyder and 108 others,
asking the passage of an Act to prohibit the manufacture of
tin cans in the Maryland Penitentiary.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.
