of the State, the amount which said Committee may report
to be due the State by the said Company for the space of
twenty days after the adoption of the report of this Commit-
tee by the General Assembly, then, and in that event, the-
Attorney General is hereby directed forthwith to institute
proceedings by writ of scire facias in the name of the State-
of Maryland against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Com-
pany, to ascertain whether the charter and corporate fran-
chises and privileges of said Company ought not, by reason
of misuser and abuse of its franchises and privileges, be
vacated and annulled.
And be it further resolved, That the Governor is hereby
authorized to employ counsel to aid the Attorney General in
prosecuting the said writ of scire facias.
