Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Duvall presented the petition of John H. Browning
and 90 citizens of Prince George's county, praying for a law
to protect rabbits in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation .

Mr. Bowlus presented the petition of Frederick T. Main,
John H. Jones & Co., and 60 other citizens of Frederick
county, praying the passage of a law requiring owners of
land to keep outside fences in good repair.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agricul-
ture.

Mr. McLane presented the petition of the Board of Direc-
tors of the Maryland Institution for the Instruction of the
Blind, asking an appropriation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Street presented the petition of the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county, making the office of State's Attor-
ney for Harford county a salaried office, and fixing the salary
thereof.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

The following communication from Hon. Robert Fowler,
late State Treasurer, with the accompanying accounts :

The Speaker of the House of Delegates:

SIR:—In obedience to the 4th section of Article 6, of the
Constitution, I have the honor herewith to submit to you,
true copies of the accounts rendered to, and settled with the
Comptroller of the Treasury, from the first day of January
1870, to the tenth day of Feb. 1870, all of which, I trust,
upon examination, will be found satisfactory and correct.
