The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to authorize the Governor to appoint and com-
mission nine additional Justices of the Peace for St. Mary's
county.

Said bill being upon its third reading.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 4, of an Act passed
January session, 1868, chapter 466, entitled an Act to run,
define and mark the dividing line between Prince George's and
Montgomery counties, and re-enact the same so as to read as
follows.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Markland, Chairman of the Committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act passed at the Jan-
uary session, 1867, of the General Assembly of Maryland,
chapter 219, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Monumen-
tal Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore," and to change
the name of said Corporation and to enlarge its powers.
