JOINT RESOLUTIONS

Assented to by the General Assembly of Maryland, at a Session
begun on the 5th day of January, 1870, and ended
on the 4th day of April, 1870.

No. 1.

 

To remit Colonization Tax levied under Chapter
two hundred and eighty-one of eighteen hundred
and thirty-one.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sums standing on the hooks of the Trea-
sury against the several counties of this State,
levied for Colonization purposes, under Chapter
two hundred and eighty-one of eighteen hundred
and thirty-one, be and the same are hereby re-
mitted, and that all such accounts he stricken from
the books of the Department.

No. 2.

 

Resolved by the Senate and House of Delegates of
Maryland, That the thanks of the Legislature be
and are hereby tendered to Hon. R. B. Rosevelt, of
New York, for the able and instructive address de-
livered before the joint assembly of the two Houses,
on the 16th of March, on the subject of fish, their
their cultivation, preservation, &c.
