power and authority to make contracts or arrange-
ments with any other railroad company now exist-
ing or hereafter to he constructed for through trans-
portation of passengers and merchandise and of all
property of what kind soever in the cars of either
Company.

Hold real es-
tate, &c.
|
Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That said Company
shall have full power to purchase and to hold all
real estate necessary for the purpose of said rail-
road, or any of their works, to buy and build houses
and shops for corporate purposes, and when the
final survey of any part of said road shall be made
by the Company's engineer, such survey shall he
recorded in the Recorder's or Clerk's office of Bal-
timore County, and the records thereof shall be
evidence of the route and limits of said road.

Right to alter,
&c.
|
Sec. 19. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly hereby reserves to itself the right to
alter, amend or repeal this Act, or any part thereof.

Limited.
|
Sec. 20. And be it enacted, That the said road
shall be commenced within eighteen months and
completed within three years of the passage of
this Act, otherwise this Charter shall be null and
void.

In force.
|
Sec. 21. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect and have full operation from the day of
its passage.

AN ACT to Incorporate the People's Land, Loan
and Deposit Company of Maryland.

Corporators.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That M. Bannon, James A. Bruce,
A. V. Milholland, John R. Brown, T. H. Hunt,
0. Cecil, A. P. German and William White, and
their associates and successors, be and they are
made and constituted a body politic and corporate
by the name of the People's Loan and Deposit
Company of Maryland, and as such shall have
