CHAPTER 461.

AN ACT to prevent the sale of Spirituous or Fer-
mented Liquors on Tilghman's Island, Talbot
County, or within three miles thereof:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for the
Clerk of the Circuit Count for Talbot county to
issue license to any person or persons to sell spiritu-
ous or fermented liquors on Tilghman's Island, or
within three miles thereof.

cense.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the first day of May eighteen hun-
dred and seventy.

CHAPTER 462.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claims of William H. Tuck, John L. Smith,
Joseph Phelps, Daniel Caulk, George W. Sands,
George W. Murdock, Thomas I. Duvall, James
E. Tate, Sprigg Harwood, Samuel Davis, John
Sullivan, Samuel W. Brooks, Owen M. Taylor,
P. Dorsey Carr, Walter Crook, Jr., Thomas A.
Makibbin, George Herring, William C. Parker
and Daniel Saunders.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller, be and he
is hereby directed to issue his warrant on the Trea-
surer, to pay to William H. Tuck for legal services
in oyster cases two hundred dollars; to John L.
Smith, late collector Talbot county, for over-pay-
ment into the Teasury, as per certificate of Comp-
troller and Treasurer twenty-five dollars; to Joseph
Phelphs for work at the State House five dollars;
to Daniel Caulk for repairs to Senate Chamber and
