LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Baltimore
city.

BALTIMORE CITY.

To the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, as
per. Article four, Section one hundred and twenty-
seven, of Public Local Laws, entitled " Auctions,"
twenty thousand dollars; to the members of the
Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore City, fifty dollars
each, (one hundred and fifty dollars); to the Regis-
ter of Baltimore City, three hundred dollars; to
the Maryland Penitentiary, for so much on account
of the salaries of its officers, eight thousand dol-
lars; for the support of the Maryland Penitentiary,
thirty thousand dollars; to the House of Refuge,
fifteen thousand dollars; to the Maryland Insti-
tute, for the instruction of the blind, as per Act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, fifteen thousand
dollars for the current year, and also five thousand
dollars to make up the deficiency of the appropria-
tion for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-nine;
and to the Maryland Hospital, four thousand
dollars.

Charitable
Institutions.

CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS.

To the Home of the Friendless, fifteen hundred
dollars; to the Reverend Edward Brannan, for the
use of St. Edward's Academy in the city of Cum-
berland, to be applied to the support and education
of free scholars of said Academy, the sum of seven
hundred and fifty dollars, and to Francis M. Gram-
lick, for the use of the German Catholic School of
Cumberland, the sum of seven hundred and fifty
dollars; for the Children's Aid Society of Balti-
more City, five hundred dollars a year for two
years, (one thousand dollars); for the Boys' Home,
five hundred dollars; for the Baltimore Orphan
Asylum, one thousand dollars; for St. Mary's In-
dustrial School, six thousand dollars; to St. Vin-
cent's Infant Asylum, in the city of Baltimore, fif-
teen hundred dollars; to the House of the Good
Shepherd, in the city of Baltimore, one thousand
dollars; to the Aged Men and Aged Women's
Home, each five hundred dollars, (one thousand
dollars); to the Hebrew Asylum, one thousand
dollars; to the Shelter for Colored Orphans, four
hundred dollars; to St. Anthony's Orphan Asy-
lum, four hundred dollars; to St. Vincent's Or-
phan Asylum, four hundred dollars; to the Ger-
man Orphan's Asylum, four hundred dollars; to
