to give bond to the County Commissioners of Dor-
chester County, in a penalty of at least double the
amount to be received and disbursed by him, with
sureties to be approved by the said Commissioners,
and conditioned for the faithful discharge of the
duties of his office as Treasurer, and the faithful
disbursement of all moneys received by him accord-
ing to the order and direction of the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County, and the said

bond, when executed and approved as aforesaid,
shall be filed and recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Dorchester County, and a
copy thereof duly certified shall be evidence in any
court of law or equity ; he shall perform all the
duties of said office, and shall receive such com-

pensation as said Board may deem just and pro-
per, provided said salary shall not exceed the sum
of ($1,000) one thousand dollars per annum.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That at the next general election for
county officers in Dorchester County, there shall be
but three Commissioners elected for said county,
whose duties shall be as are now or may hereafter
be prescribed by law.

Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act
be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 450.
AN ACT to repeal Section fifty-eight of Article
sixteen of the Code of Public General Laws,
under the title of "Chancery," sub-title "Juris-
diction," as amended and re-enacted by Chapter
three hundred and forty-eight of Acts passed
Session eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, and
Section sixty of said Article sixteen of the Code
of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section fifty-eight of Article
