Deposit secu-
rities.
|
City of Baltimore, either one or all of said securi-
ties, and the same deposited with the Treasurer of
this State, as a guarantee for the payment of the
policies of insurance issued by said company ; and
the said company from time to time as they shall
deem proper, may sell and dispose of said securi-
ties, and exchange and re-deposit the same with
the said Treasurer, under such rules and regulations
for said exchange and re-deposit as said Treasurer
shall direct, the said Company confirming the said
business of sale, disposition and sale of said securi-
ties to either or all of said securities above named
in this section, the interests and profits accruing
and made on said securities, and the sale or ex-
change thereof, to be collected by and paid over to
said company.

Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
be perpetual, but the Legislature may at any time
alter or amend the same.

AN ACT to add additional Sections to Article
tenth of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County,
relating to County Commissioners for said
county.

Appoint clerk
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Dorchester County are hereby authorized, empow-
ered and directed to appoint, at their first meeting
in January, or their first meeting at any time
thereafter in the year eighteen hundred and sev-
enty-one, and annually thereafter, a Clerk, who
shall also act as Treasurer to said Board, whose
duty it shall be to record the proceedings of said
Board, receive and disburse all moneys levied and
collected for county purposes according to the order
and direction of the County Commissioners of said

county ; he shall keep a separate account with each
collector, and make quarterly returns of said
amounts to the Board as often as required by
them ; he shall keep the office of said Commis-
sioners open from nine o'clock A. M. until three
o'clock P. M. each week day ; he shall be required
