38th, 39th and 40th sections of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled " Licenses," and substitute in lieu thereof the
following sections, reported back the same, and asked to be
discharged from the further consideration thereof, and that
the same be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

The Committee were discharged, and the leave so referred.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably the following bills :

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly of
1868, chapter 292, adding' an additional section to Article 51
of the Code of Public General Laws, under the title of '' Land-
lord and Tenant," by repeal of the said Act, and re-enacting
the same.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 46 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Inebriates," by adding thereto
the following sections.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section six of Article 83, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Exemption from
Execution," and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows :

Which was read a first time.

Also,

Reported favorably a bill entitled an Act for the protec-
tion of fish in the Tributaries of the Potomac River lying
in said St. Mary's county, and to regulate the time and man-
ner of catching and taking fish in that portion of the Po-
tomac River, between Cobb Point in Charles county, and
Point Lookout in St. Mary's county.

Said bill having been read a second time,
On motion of Mr. Loker,

The vote by which the bill was passed through a second
reading was reconsidered.

The bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Loker submitted the following amendment:

In section five, line thirteen, insert after the word ''Con-
stable," the words : may give notice by publication in some
newspaper published in St. Mary's county.

Which was adopted.
