ton County, as hereinafter provided for, may be
renewed for one year, or any time less or greater
that may be agreed upon between said Company
and the party insured, from the period at which
they would otherwise expire by the respective per-
sons therein insured, their executors, adminis-
trators and assigns, paying the interest in advance
upon his, her or their premium notes, secured by
judgment or otherwise, or leaving his, her or their
cash advanced as premium to the said Company, un-
drawn, as the case may be, and that the said policies
maybe renewed annually thereafter, so long as the
interest on premium notes secured by judgment or
otherwise, is paid in advance or cash advanced as
premium to said Company remains undrawn, as
the case may be, and the receipt for interest signed

by the secretary shall be evidence of such renewal,
and all policies issued after the adoption of this
Act as aforesaid, to persons or corporations desir-
ing to become members of this Company, shall be
issued for the term of one year, or aay greater or
less term that may be agreed upon as aforesaid,
and in case the party insuring shall have no real
estate, or shall have real estate, and he, she or
they be in such a condition as to be unable to give
a judgment binding upon such real estate, the

Board of Directors may take a note for the amount
of premium required, secured by mortgage, or in
such other manner as said Board may deem most
expedient and safe, and such policies may be re-
newed from year to year, or for a greater or less
time, as may be agreed upon as aforesaid, and the
receipt of the secretary for interest shall be evidence
of such renewal.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the second sec-
tion of the Act passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, Chapter ninety-
five, entitled, An Act to amend An Act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three,
Chapter three hundred and seventy-nine, entitled,
An Act to amend an Act to incorporate the Mutual
Insurance Company of Washington county, passed
at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
five, Chapter thirty-seven, and to extend the char-
ter of said Company, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
