bonds of the State, or in the bonds of the United

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 423.
|

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Montgomery County to add
additional buildings to the Alrnshouse of said
County, and to levy a tax upon the assessable
property of said County to pay for the same.
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Montgomery county be and they are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to erect additional build-
ings at the Almshouse of said county, suitable for
the proper care and comfort of insane paupers and
negro paupers.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of said county be and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to levy upon the assess-
able property of said county a sum or sums of
money in their judgment sufficient to carry into
effect the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
