Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Crawford presented the petition of Thomas Roberts,
Elizabeth Insby, Margaret Merrick and Nicy Douglas, ask-
ing to be placed on the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Seibert presented the petition of Priscilla A. Kershaw,
asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Hammond presented the following petitions:

The petition of Mrs. Mary A. Leonard asking for a pen-
sion .

Also,

The petition of Mrs. Fannie Smith asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Mrs. Elizabeth Fairbank asking for a pen-
sion.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of James F. Kelly, and
120 other citizens of Dames' Quarter district, in Somerset
county, protesting against the passage of a law prohibiting
dredging for Oysters.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Myers presented the petition of 90 citizens and tax-
payers of the City of Cumberland, protesting against the
enactment of any law authorizing the Mayor and Council of
Cumberland to increase the tax levy beyond the amount now
allowed by law.

Which was read and leferred to the Allegauy delegation.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of William T. Tall and
63 others, citizens of Somerset county, asking for the passage
of a law authorizing the County Commissioners of said
county to levy a sum of money to build a bridge and road at
Rehoboth, on the Pocomoke River.

Which was read and referred to the Somerset delegation
and Mr. Dennis.

Mr. Martin presented the following petitions :
