section or any section of any Act incorporating
said town, may he fined any sum not exceeding
ten dollars, to be recovered in the name of the
President and Town Commissioners of the said
town, as other small debts are now collected by
law.

Shall be col-
lected.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all fines im-
posed by the said Commissioners shall be collected
in the name of the President and Commissioners
of said town as other small debts are now collected
by law.

Power to re-
move.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the bailiff of
said town shall be subject to the order or orders of
the said President and Town Commissioners, and
upon his refusal to comply with any order, may
be by them immediately removed from office.

CHAPTER 407.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Agricultural and Me-
chanical Society of Allegany County and West
Virginia and Pennsylvania, to issue coupon
bonds and secure the payment thereof.

Issue bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Agricultural and Mechani-
cal Society of Allegany County and West Virginia
and Pennsylvania, may and is hereby authorized
to issue coupon bonds, bearing eight per cent, in-
terest, to an amount not exceeding ten thousand
dollars, in such sums as the President and Board
of Managers of said Society may deem proper,
payable five years after the date thereof; and to
secure the payment of said bonds and the coupons

Interest,

for the semi-annual interest, at the rate of eight
per centum per annum, and may execute a deed of
trust conveying the Fair Grounds, real estate and
other property of said Society, to trustees in trust
for that purpose.

In force.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after its passage.
