Sec. 8. Be, it enacted, That no member or Direc-
tor shall be liable in his person or property for any
debts, contracts or engagements of the said corpor-
ation, but that the money, property, rights and
credits of said corporation, and nothing more, shall
be liable for the same.

Sec. 9. Be it enacted, That the Directors be and
they are hereby authorized to make, from time to
time, as they may deem expedient, such by-laws
or other rules for the regulation and government
of themselves and the depositions of said corpora-
tion, and the same to change, add to or amend, as

may appear necessary and proper; provided, always,
that such by-laws or rules be not contrary to the
Constitution and Laws of the United States, State
of Maryland, or the provisions of this charter.

Sec. 10. Be it enacted, That the said corporation
shall not be authorized to make any bills or notes
in the nature or description of bank notes.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That whenever any
deposit shall be made by a minor, the Directors of
said corporation may, at their discretion, pay to
such depositor such sum or sums as may be due
him or her, and the check, receipt or acquittance
of such minor shall be valid; and that the deposits

of married women shall be received or held, and
paid out on precisely the same terms and conditions
as those of other adult persons, any law or statute
of this State to the contrary thereof in any wise
notwithstanding.

Sec. 12. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage, and the General
Assembly reserves the right to alter, amend or re-
peal this Act at pleasure.
