county are hereby authorized and empowered to
levy upon the taxable property of said county a
sum of money not exceeding the sum of seventy
dollars, or so much thereof as in their discretion
they may deem proper and right, per year, to pay
Robert J. Jimison, of said county, for the board-
ing and clothing and nursing of Benjamin Jimison,
a lunatic pauper of said county, for the years of
eighteen hundred and sixty-two, eighteen hundred
and sixty-three, eighteen hundred and sixty-four,
eighteen hundred and sixty-five, eighteen hundred
and sixty-six, and eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 382.

AN ACT to add to Article twenty-eight, of the
Code of Public General Laws, an additional
section providing for the more effectual drainage
of lands.
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following additional sec-
tion be added to the twenty-eighth Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, under title, "County
Commissioners," sub-title, "Draining Lands," to
come in after Section one hundred and one.

102. The provisions of the aforegoing Sections
of this Article relating to Draining Lands, shall
apply to all lands requiring drainage.
