County Com-
missioners to
repair jail.

authorized and empowered to repair the jail of
said county and to do such other acts and things
as shall be necessary and proper to carry into effect
the provisions of this section.

Levy tax.
In force.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the
County Commissioners of said county be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to levy upon
the assessable property of said county a sum or
sums of money, sufficient in their judgment, to
carry into effect the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 375.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Trustees of the Lower
West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in Cecil
County, State of Maryland to sell and convey
the Lot of Ground supposed to be twenty-eight
acres, part of the bequest of Elizabeth A.
McMains, deceased, of said County.

sell.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas J. Gillispie, Robert
N. Hindrnan, Doct. William B. Rowland, James
M. Evans, George Gillispie, Theodore L. Mar-
shall, Samuel Tosh, John W. Mount and James
O. McCormick, the present Trustees of the Lower
West Nottingham Presbyterian Church in Cecil
County, or their successors, be and they are hereby
fully authorized and empowered to sell and convey
all their interest both legal and equitable in and
to a certain lot of ground in Cecil County, sup-
posed to contain twenty-eight acres of land more
or less, being a bequest in the last will and testa-
ment of Elizabeth A. McMains, late of said county,
deceased.
