CHAPTER 373.
|
|
AN ACT to protect Prairie Chickens in Worcester
County.
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any
person to shoot at, trap, catch, or in any manner
take or kill any Prairie Chicken in Worcester
County within four years from the date of the pas-
sage of this Act.
|

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That if any person
shall violate any of the provisions of this Act, he
shall forfeit the gun or other instrument used in
said taking or killing and shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and shall pay a fine of not less
than ten nor more than twenty dollars, to be re-
covered by action of debt in the name of the State,
before a Justice of the Peace for Worcester County
aforesaid, or by indictment in the Circuit Court of
said county, said fine to be paid the one-half to the
informer and the other half to the Board of County
School Commissioners for said county.

CHAPTER 374.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to repair the old Jail or
to build a new one in their discretion, and to
levy a Tax upon the Assessable Property of said
County to pay for the same.
