ing the city of Frederick, the remains of the Con-
federate dead now lying in Frederick County, in
this State, and for the purpose of erecting head
stones to the graves of said soldiers, so as to per-
manently mark and designate the same, so far as
it may he practicable to do so.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State be and he is hereby authorized and re-
quired, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to
pay to the Treasurer of the Confederate Memorial
Association of Frederick County, the said sum of
two thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may
he required for the purposes aforesaid, in monthly
installments of five hundred dollars each, com-
mencing on the first day of April, in the year one
thousand eight hundred and seventy.

CHAPTER 367.

AN ACT entitled a Supplement to An Act enti-
tled An Act to Incorporate the Monumental
Savings Institution, passed at January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter one
hundred and twenty-five, and to change the
name of said Institution to the Monumental
Savings Bank, to authorize an increase of its
Capital Stock, and to grant additional powers
thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name and style of the Mon-
umental Savings Institution be and the same is
hereby changed to that of the Monumental Sav-
ings Bank, and by that name shall have all the
rights, powers and privileges which were granted
to the Monumental Savings Institution by the Act
to which this is a supplement.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the fourth Sec-
tion of said Act, to which this is a supplement, be
and the same is herebyrepealed and re -enacted so
as to read as follows, to wit:
