Make per-
petual Insu-
rances.

this Act, it shall be lawful for the President and
Directors of the Chesapeake Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore to make perpetual and all other
Insurance against loss or damage by fire in the
State of Maryland or elsewhere.
|
Charter per-
petual.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the charter of
the Company be, and the same is hereby made
perpetual, the Legislature reserving to itself the
right at any time to amend the same.
|
Repealed.
|
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That Section five,
Section twelve and Section fourteen of the Act of
incorporation of the Company, be and the same
are hereby repealed.
|
Appoint offi-
cers until elec-
tion.
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the President
and Directors, or a majority of them, shall have
power and authority to appoint a Vice-President,
Secretary and Clerks under them, and to fill any
vacancy which may occur in their own number,
until the following General Election by the stock-
holders — a Director in any other Company may
also be a Director in this.

In conflict
repealed.
|
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That any Act conflict-
ing with this Act, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

CHAPTER 336.

AN ACT for the Relief of J. B. Magruder, late
Inspector of Tobacco Warehouse No. 1, and of
Persons employed under him in said Warehouse.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS it is represented to the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, that there is due and unpaid to
J. B. Magruder, late Inspector of Tobacco Ware-
house No. 1, for unpaid bills incurred at said ware-
house, the sum of sixty-three dollars and forty-five
cents, and to the persons who were employed in
said Warehouse No. 1, under said J. B. Magruder,
late Inspector, various sums of money for services
rendered in said warehouse, between the first day
