take effect on the first Tuesday of April, eighteen
hundred and seventy.

CHAPTER 326.

AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners
of Somerset County to change the place of hold-
ing the election in the Second Election District,
known as Dames Quarter District, in said
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General 'Assembly
of Maryland, That for the greater convenience of
voters, the County Commissioners of Somerset
County are hereby authorized to change the place
of holding the election in District Number Two,
known as Dames Quarter District, to a more cen-
tral location.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 327.

AN ACT to provide for the protection of birds in
Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no person shall trap, shoot, or
in any manner catch, kill or wound any bird or
birds, or wild fowl of any kind or description what-
ever, in Washington County, except hawks, owls,
wild ducks, wild pigeons, jack snipe, plover, sand
pipers, reed birds, cedar birds and rails;provided,
however, that it shall be lawful to shoot wood cock
between the twentieth day of June and the thirty-
first day of December in each year; pheasants,
bull bats or night hawks and doves, between the
