kins, Hardcastle, of Caroline, Garey, Sanner, Hamilton,
Cooper, Morse, Blake, Webb, Wilson, of Baltimore city,
Wiley, McLane, Colton, Kirk, Collins, Ehlen, Gardner
Markland, Marshall, Hoblitzell, Neill, Welty, Murdock,
Sword, Seibert, Veitch, Watkins, Kean, Wilson, of Alle-
gany, Standish, Myers, Percy, Shower, Jordan, Mer/ick,
Gorman, Gordy—80.

The Speaker laid before the House the following Report of
the Comptroller of the Treasury, in response to an order of
the House:

COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE,

Annapolis, February 8, 1870.
Hon. F. C. Latrobe,

Speaker of the House of Delegates:

DEAR SIR :—In compliance with the following order passed'
the House on the 27th ult., to wit: "Ordered. That the
Comptroller furnish this House with the number of hogs-
heads of Tobacco inspected at each warehouse, the cost of in-
specting the same, including officers' salaries, labor, nails
and all other expenses as incurred by the Inspectors of each
House," I beg leave to make the annexed Report, which
shows the number of hogsheads inspected between January
1, 1868, and January 1, 1870, the time verbally expressed
by the Hon. Henry Owings, who offered the order, also the
amount received from outage, storage, extra weights, re-
drawing, extra labor, scraps, stays, cooperage, empty casks,
rent of warehouses, wharfage, &c., also the amount of sal-
ary paid inspectors, clerks, laborers, nails and incidental ex-
penses.

All of which is respectfully submitted,

1868, to January 1, 1870, to wit:
