308 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 9,

A bill entitled an Act to change the name and style of the
Trustees of the Central School in Frederick county, and to
repeal the Act entitled "an Act to incorporate the Trustees
of the Central School in Frederick county," and re-enact
the same with amendments,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Shipley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to prohibit stock from running at
large in and around Catonsville, in Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Brattan, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to annex Holland's Island to Somer-
set county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Martin, Chairman of the Select Committee on State
Tobacco Warehouses, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize James 8. Morsell, Jr.,
of Calvert county, Mason L. Weems and George F. Needham,
to construct a pier at No. 3 Tobacco Warehouse wharf, in the
City of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of incorporation
of Mechanicstown, Frederick county, Maryland, passed Feb-
ruary 13, 1832, chapter 111, and the Supplement thereto,
and sections 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198,199, 200, 201, 202,
203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211 and 212, of Arti-
cle 11, of the Code of Public General Laws, and to substitute
in lieu of said Acts and sections, the following sections incor-
porating the village of Mechanicstown, in said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Real Estate and
Savings Bank of Baltimore,

Was read a second time and orderel to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The following message was received from his Excellency,
the Governor, per hands of Richard C. Hollyday, Esq., Sec-
