the augmentation of the Library, to be expended
under the direction of said Committee.

Regulations.

Sec. 18. The said Committee shall establish such
rules and regulations relative to the State Library
as to them may seem proper, and may alter and
amend the same from time to time, provided such
rules and regulations be not inconsistent with law.

Vacancy.

And in the event of a vacancy occurring in said
Committee by resignation or otherwise, the same
shall be immediately notified by the remaining
members to the Court of Appeals of Maryland,
who are hereby authorized and required to fill
said vacancy forthwith.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 273.

AN ACT to repeal an Act entitled an Act to In-
corporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Company
of Anne Arundel County, passed at the Janu-
ary session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
Chapter ninety-one, and re-enact the same with
amendments,

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That an Act passed at the January
session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chap-
ter ninety-one, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Anne Arundel
County be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to read as follows.
