Publish notice

in any newspaper published in said county, or if
no newspaper in the county, by notices set up at
the Court House door, and at three public places
in the districts to be affected by such change or
changes.

In force.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 4, 1870.

 

CHAPTER 265.

 

AN ACT to amend the Code of Public Local
Laws, title, Baltimore County, by adding thereto
the following additional sections in relation to
Swine running at large.

Amended.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Article three of the Public
Local Laws, title, Baltimore County, be amended
by adding thereto the following sections:

Swine at large

195. It shall not be lawful for any person to
allow swine to run at large in any part of Balti-
more County which lies within the distance of fif-
teen miles from the bounds of Baltimore City.

May impound

 

196. Any person may impound any swine found
going at large in any part of said county not dis-
tant from the bounds of Baltimore City more than
fifteen miles, belonging to any inhabitant thereof,
and the owner of such swine on reclaiming the
same, shall pay at the rate of twenty-five cents
per head for every twenty-four hours such swine
may have been impounded, after any swine so im-

pounded shall be advertised by notice in writing,
set up at two of the most public places in the Elec-
tion District wherein such swine may have been
impounded.

May sell.

197. If any swine shall remain so impounded
for five days after notice given, as aforesaid, the
party so impounding it or them, may sell the same
at public auction, after five days' notice, set up, as
provided in the preceding section, for the payment
of costs and expenses, including the said twenty-
five cents per day.
