JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS

[Feb. 8,

18th day of July, 1836, is, according to the true import and
legal effect of said Act and said guarantee, payable to the
State in gold coin.

And be it further resolved, That the Treasurer of the State
is not authorized to accept payment therefor in United States
Treasury Notes, or any other currency which is not, at the
time of such acceptance, at par with gold coin.

Which were read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at January
session, 1867, entitled an Act to authorize the Pennsylvania
Mutual Horse Thief Detecting and Insurance Company of
York, Pennsylvania, to transact business in the State of
Maryland, and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as fol-
lows :
