is hereby directed to issue his warrant on the Trea-
surer, in favor of John D. Bowling, for the sum of

 

two hundred and thirty-one dollars and forty cents,
and to John Bowling for the sum of forty dollars
and sixty cents, for money erroneously paid by
them to Inspectors of Tobacco in Baltimore City,
said sums to be paid out of any unappropriated
moneys in the Treasury standing to the credit of
the Tobacco Fund.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 238.

AN ACT to incorporate the "Spa City Hotel Com-
pany" of Bladensburg, Prince George's County,
Maryland.

 

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Charles W. Boteler, Hamilton
G. Fant, Joseph L. Savage, John Van Riswick,
Cornelius Wendell, Job Angus, W. C. Stevens, B.
F. Guy and Andrew R. Potts, and their associates
and successors, be and they are hereby incorpo-

rated a body corporate, by the style of the "Spa
City Hotel Company," and by that name may sue
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, in any court
of law or equity of competent jurisdiction, and be
entitled to use and exercise all the powers, rights
and privileges incident to such corporation, for the
purpose of establishing and maintaining in said
"Spa City" building or buildings for a hotel,
with rooms, shops and offices to be used therefor
and therewith; and they may purchase and hold
real and personal estate required and convenient
therefor, and may, after construction thereof, sell,
convey or lease and receive rent therefor, in whole
or in part, as they may choose and find for the
interest of said corporation.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the capi-
tal stockof said corporation shall not exceed the sum
