warrant from a Justice of the Peace, shall within
five days thereafter summon another jury of twenty
inhabitants, as aforesaid, not upon the former jury
and the same proceedings shall be had in all
respects as hereinbefore provided; and in case of a
second, or other disagreement of the jury, the
same proceedings shall be had, until a verdict, or
inquisition shall be made and returned as afore-
said.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the property of
this Company shall be subject to taxation as other
personal property in the State.

CHAPTER 222.
AN ACT to enlarge the powers of the Commis-
sioners of Washington County under Article
twenty-one of the Code of Public Local Laws
entitled "Washington County," under the head
of "County Commisioners," by adding thereto
the following Sub-Sections :
SUB-SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Commissioners of
Washington County, so soon after the passage of
this Act as they may deem expedient, and there-
after at their annual meetings, shall appoint a fit

person, a resident of said county, to be County
Treasurer for the period of one year, subject to re-
moval by the said Commissioners for neglect of
duty or misbehavior in office.

Sub-Sec. 2. The said Treasurer, before entering
upon the duties of his office, shall execute a bond
to the State of Maryland, to be approved by said
County Commissioners, in the penalty of double
the amount of tax to be received by him, condi-
tioned for the true and faithful performance of the
duties of the office of Treasurer, which bond shall
be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit
