George's County, with power and authority to re-
ceive and collect all county taxes levied annually
by the County Commissioners of said county under
and by the existing laws of the State of Maryland,
in the same manner that collectors of county taxes
are required to proceed to collect and enforce the
payment thereof, and shall be required to report

of July succeeding the levy for each current year,
and not before, (except to persons who owe county
taxes and have a levy standing on the books of the
County Commissioners, in their own name or as
assignees, and then only on the amount of the
county taxes due by them respectively,) the said
County Commissioners may draw upon the said
Treasurer, pro rata, to all who shall present such
certificate within ten days after the first of each
and every month for the amount that may then
appear to be in his hands, and continue so to draw,
as they may find funds in the hands of said Trea-
surer, until they have discharged all the debts due
and owing by Prince George's County for which
the said levy or assessment was made. It is here-
by declared to be the intention and meaning of this
Act that the County Commissioners shall, when

requested, issue county certificates of indebtedness
to any person having a levy on their hooks, show-
ing the amount due by Prince George's County to
them, which may be transferable and taken up by
the said County Commissioners by draft on
the Treasurer as hereinbefore provided, and
the clerk of the County Commissioners shall
be entitled, for the increased duties imposed
by this Act, to the sum of two hundred dollars
in addition to the compensation he now receives,
and the said Treasurer shall be the collector of
county taxes, under the express direction and con-
trol of the County Commissioners of said county,
so far as enforcing payment of the same under ex-
isting laws, and he shall immediately upon receiv-

at any time after he has given notice required by

advertise and sell any real or personal property of
