county taxes, and from the taxes to he imposed
under this Act as well as all other taxes for the
use and benefit of the said corporation of Hagers-
town.

 

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 205.

 

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Sections twelve and fourteen of Article
forty-one, Code of Public General Laws, title,
" Fish and Fisheries," sub-title, Potomac, and
to add additional sections (hereto, for the further
protection of fish, and regulation of the shad
and herring fisheries in said river.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That sections twelve and fourteen of
Article forty-one, Code of Public General Laws,
title, "Fish and Fisheries," under the head of
Potomac, be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, as follows:

12. The fishing season for shad and herring in
the waters of the Potomac river shall begin the
fifteenth day of March and end the first day of
June in. each year.

14. No person shall haul, drift or fish any seine
or gill net within the water bounds, or berths of
any regularly hauled fishing landing, nor opposite
to any part of the shore of the owner or occupier
of any such landing, within hauling distance from
such shore, between the fifteenth day of March and
the first day of June, in each year, without the
