CHAPTER 200.

AN ACT to repeal An Act entitled " An Act to
provide for the better protection of Partridges
in Washington County," passed January Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter
twenty-one, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act entitled An Act to pro-

 

vide for the better protection of Partridges in
Washington County, passed January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter twenty-
one, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, so as to read as follows:

Sec. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That no person or persons shall kill,

shoot, or in any manner catch or wound any Par-
tridge or Partridges in Washington County from
the date of the passage of this Act, until the
twentieth day of October, eighteen hundred and
seventy-two.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That any person or
persons violating the preceding section, shall pay
a fine of five dollars for each and every Partridge
killed, shot, trapped, caught or wounded, in vio-
lation thereof, upon conviction before a Justice of
the Peace, one-half of which fine shall be paid to

half to the informer, and in default of the pay-
ment of such fine, the person convicted of violat-
ing the preceding section as aforesaid shall be
