Which was read a first time.

Mr. White, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act passed at the
January session of the General Assembly of 1867, chapter
320, entitled an Act to incorporate tjie Trustees of the Par-
sonage belonging to the Mechanicstown charge of the Ger-
man Reformed Church.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Woolford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the 10th Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester county, by adding
thereto the following sections relating to the jurisdiction of
Justices of the Peace for said county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Ritter, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled a supplement to the Act passed at Decem-
ber session, 1828, chapter 119, entitled a supplement to the
Act entitled an Act to provide for the making of the several
Turnpike Roads, and for the extension of the charters of the
several Banks therein mentioned, passed at December ses-
sion, 1827, chapter 42, with proposed amendments, as a sub-
stitute therefor.

The amendments were adopted, and

On motion of Mr. Ritter (the rules being suspended,)

The bill as amended, was read a second time, and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following House
bill, endorsed,

"Passed by yeas and nays :"

A bill entitled an Act sections one and two of chapter two
hundred and forty, passed at the December session of the
General Assembly, 1861, entitled an Act to amend Article
four of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the City of
Baltimore, by imposing penalties for polluting the water in
Swan Lake, the dam, reservoir, line of conduit, water pipes
gate house or other works constructed or used in supplying
the City of Baltimore with water, or injuring, defacing or
destroying the same, and to re-enact the said sections so as to
read as follows.
