ter sixty, entitled an Act to incorporate a Society in
Washington county, to be styled the Agricultural and
Mechanical Association of Washington county, and also
an Act passed 1867, chapter 200, entitled an Act to revive and
continue in force the Act of 1854, chapter 60, entitled an Act
to Incorporate a Society in Washington county, to be styled
die Agricultural and Mechanical Association of Washington
county, so as to convert said Association into a Joint Stock

Corporation, and to legalize certain acts heretofore perform-
ed by said Association.

On motion of Mr. Shower,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Carroll County Building
Association No. 1, in Manchester, Carroll county.

On motion of Mr. Webb,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce

a bill to pay Duncan McPherson for services rendered to the
State in equipping and uniforming the militia.

On motion of Mr. Garey,

Leave was granted to the Caroline delegation and Mr.
Brown, of Queen Anne's, to introduce a bill to repeal sectioa
138, of Article 6, title "Caroline county," sub-title, "Justice
of the Peace and Constables."

On motion of Mr. Wells,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money for repair-
ing the sidewalk and paving the bed of the street, on the pub-
circle surrounding the grounds of the State House.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend and alter the charter of the City of
Annapolis.

On motion of Mr. Streett,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 41, Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws supplement 1868, title "Licenses,"
sub-title "Traders," and re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, entitled "Refuge, House of," by
adding two sections thereto declaring that hereafter female
minors shall not be committed to said institution, and author-
