bonds, twenty-five cents; for entering every con-
tinuance, ten cents; for every transcript from the
docket, fifteen cents; for every search, ten cents;
for binding apprentices, each Justice twenty-five
cents.

Fees in crimi-
nal cases.
|
18. They shall he entitled to he paid in crimi-
nal cases, by the county or city of Baltimore, as
the case may be, the following fees ; For issuing
each State writ, twenty-five cents; for search war-
rant, twenty-five cents; for taking recognizances
of witnesses, each twenty-five cents; for taking
recognizances in each case reported to court,
twenty-five cents; for every commitment, twenty-
five cents; for every releasement, twenty-five
cents; for holding an inquest upon a deceased per-
son, five dollars; for issuing an attachment for a
witness refusing to attend on summons of a com-
missioner, fifty cents; for taking depositions in
cases of contested elections, per day, three dollars.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 165.
|

AN ACT to protect Fish in the waters of Mill
Creek and Principle Creek, in Cecil County.
|
Not to
catch fish.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall not he lawful for any
person or persons to whip or beat the waters of
Mill Creek, or the waters of Principio Creek, in
Cecil County, with poles, sticks or any other thing,
for the purpose of driving fish into seines, nets,
fish baskets, or any other contrivance for catching
fish.

Penalty.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That any person or
persons violating the provisions of the preceding
section of this Act, and who shall he convicted be-
fore a Justice of the Peace of Cecil County, for the
same, shall forfeit the boats, nets, seines and other
fixtures used by such offender or offenders at the
