LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Quorum.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said Trustees
or a majority of them shall form a quorum for the
transaction of all business, that the said Trustees
shall and may elect a President for the term of one
year; that they shall also elect a Secretary, who
shall also he a Treasurer, for the term of one year;
that the Secretary shall keep a record of all the

by them directed to he entered and recorded, and
that the Treasurer keep a correct account of all
monies collected by him, and make a report to the
Board of Trustees at least once in each year.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the said Trustees
have the power to levy a tax upon the heads of all
families burying in said cemetery, not exceeding
the sum of three dollars annually, for the purpose
of keeping in order and improving said cemetery,
said tax to be collected by the Treasurer of the
Board, and in case of the refusal to pay said tax it

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 163.

 

AN ACT to regulate Fees of the Sheriff of Wor-
cester County, so far as it relates to Board of
Prisoners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Sheriff of Worcester County
shall be entitled to receive the sum of forty cents
