of said County, may pass any account or claim
against the estate of a deceased person for any
amount not exceeding one hundred dollars, and
on the return of any inventory of the personal
estate of a deceased person, may pass an order for
a public sale of the property contained therein, in
a case where, by law, said Court could have passed
such order.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 153.
AN ACT to enlarge the power of The Maryland
Baptist Union Association, in relation to the
holding of property; the said Association hav-
ing been incorporated for religious purposes
under the Act of the General Assembly of the-
State of Maryland, passed at its December Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-six, chapter
three hundred and twenty-three, entitled " An
Act to authorize incorporations in certain eases.
WHEREAS, The Maryland Baptist Union Asso-
ciation was duly incorporated under and by virtue
of an Act of the General Assembly of the State
of Maryland, passed at its December Session,
eighteen hundred and forty-six, chapter three hun-
dred and twenty-three, entitled An Act to au-
thorize Incorporations in certain cases;

AND WHEREAS, By said Act the property which
the said Maryland Baptist Union Association is
allowed to hold, is limited to the sum of ten thou-
sand dollars; and whereas, the said sum is not
sufficient to carry out and perform the objects and
designs of said Association, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Maryland Baptist Union
Association shall be able and capable to take, hold
