CHAPTER 151.

AN ACT to alter and amend an Act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-
four, Chapter sixty, entitled an Act to Incorpo-
rate a Society in Washington County, to he
styled the Agricultural and Mechanical Associa-
tion of Washington County, and also an Act
passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, Chapter two hundred, entitled
an Act to revive and continue in force the Act of
eighteen hundred and fifty-four, Chapter sixty,
entitled an Act to Incorporate a Society in
Washington County, to be styled the Agricul-
tural and Mechanical Association of Washing-
ton County, so as to convert said Association
into a Joint Stock Corporation, and to legalize
certain Acts heretofore performed by said Asso-
ciation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of Assembly passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four,
Chapter sixty, entitled an Act to Incorporate a
society in Washington County to be styled the
Agricultural and Mechanical Association of Wash-
ington County, and the Act of Assembly, passed
at January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, Chapter two hundred, entitled an Act "to
revive and continue in force the Act of eighteen
hundred and fifty-four, Chapter sixty," entitled
an Act to incorporate a society in Washington

County, to be styled the Agricultural and Mechan-
ical Association of Washington County, be and
the same are hereby altered and amended so as to
authorize and empower said association to issue
stock to the amount of seven thousand five hun-
dred dollars, to be divided into three hundred
shares of twenty-five dollars each, transferable
only upon the books of said corporation, either in
person or by attorney, which may be increased to
any amount or amounts in excess of said sum of
seven thousand five hundred dollars, not exceeding
in the aggregate, the sum of twenty thousand dol-
