Legal voters.
|
every Commissioner, before he opens an election,
shall make oath before a Justice of the Peace that
he will faithfully and impartially permit every
person to vote at such election who shall he quali-
fied to vote for Commissioners of said village, and
that he will not suffer any person to vote at such
election who shall not be legally qualified to vote.

Ten days
notice for an
election.

103. Tf at any time an election shall not he had
for Commissioners at the time mentioned in this
article, an election may be held at any time after
ten days' notice thereof shall have been given by
the Commissioners or a majority of them.

Vacancy-how
filled.
|
104. If any vacancy shall occur by the death,
resignation, removal or refusal to act of any one
or more of the Commissioners elected as aforesaid,
the remaining Commissioners, or a majority of
them, shall elect a proper person to fill said va-
cancy.

Tie vote —
another elec-
tion held.
|
105. If at any election held under this article,
two or more persons shall receive the same num-
ber of votes for Commissioner of said village, the
judges of the said election shall, after having
given five days' notice of the time and place, pro-
ceed to hold another election to fill up said Board
of Commissioners, and the person or persons re-
ceiving the highest number of votes at said elec-
tion shall, with those previously chosen, if any,
constitute the Commissioners of Greensborough
for the year ensuing.

Commission-
ers shall make
oath.

106. Every Commissioner, before he proceeds to
act as such, shall make oath, before some Justice
of the Peace for Caroline County that he will dili-
gently and faithfully, according to the best of his
skill and judgment, perform the duties of Com-
missioner without favor, partiality or prejudice,
and a certificate of such qualification shall be re-
turned by the said Justice to the Commissioners,
to be filed and recorded among their proceedings.

Meetings by
adjournment.
|
107, The said Commissioners shall meet at such
place as they may appoint within said village, on.
the second Monday of every month ensuing their
election, and as much oftener by adjournment as
they shall deem necessary.
