CHAPTER 134.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County to levy a
sum of money not exceeding three hundred dol-
lars, for the purpose of reimbursing certain par-
ties for expense incurred in the erection of
two bridges in Baltimore County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County are authorized and required to
levy a sum of money not exceeding three hundred
dollars, for the purpose of reimbursing certain
parties who, at their own expense, constructed
two bridges over George's Run being the dividing
line between the fifth and sixth districts of Balti-
more County, in the year eighteen hundred and

sixty-nine, — Provided the present constituted au-
thorities having control of roads and bridges in
Baltimore County fail from any cause, to make
provision for the payment of the same prior to the
time of making the annual levy by the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 135.
|

AN ACT to Incorporate the Town of Manchester,
in Carroll County.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the inhabitants of Manches-
ter, in Carroll County, are a body corporate by the
name of the Mayor and Common Council of the
Corporation of Manchester, and by that name may
sue and he sued, may purchase and hold real and
personal and mixed estates, and dispose of the
