of the terms of any agreement made in relation to
advances, or in relation to any of the particulars
hereinbefore referred to, the said goods, wares,
merchandise or other property in possession of said
Baltimore Warehouse Company, either in fact or
by virtue of documents as aforesaid, showing pos-
session or the right thereto, and upon which
the said charges, expenses, advances, commissions
and interest, or any part of them, or either of them,
may be a lien, as aforesaid, or so much thereof as
may he sufficient to satisfy the said amount of said

charges, advances, expenses, commissions and in-
terest, may be sold at public auction, in one or
more lots or parcels, on one or more days; and
thirty days notice of the time, and place of such
sale or sales shall be given, except in cases where
said sale or sales having been once advertised, has
or have been deferred, in which case or cases notice
shall be given of such deferred sale or sales twice

a week, in three daily papers, as aforesaid, until
the day or days of sale and on said day of sale;
and after making such sale or sales and receiving
the proceeds thereof, the said Baltimore Ware-
house Company, after satisfying the amount of its
claim or claims, as aforesaid, and all expenses of

said sale or sales, may retain the balance, until
the whole account between the parties is closed, or
if the same can then be closed, then shall forth-
with close the same, and after satisfying all its
claims, as aforesaid, shall pay over the balance, it'
any, to the party or parties entitled to receive the
same.

Register re-
ceipts.
|
Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, That the tenth
Section of the Act of which this Act is amenda-
tory, shall be and is hereby so amended that it
shall only be necessary for said Baltimore Ware-
house Company to register the copies of the re-
ceipts, warrants or warehouse certificates therein
referred to, in one book, which said book shall be
kept in the custody of the Secretary, for the time
being, of the said Company, and shall be open at
all times to the inspection of those dealing with
the said Company.

Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from its passage.
