Mr. Owings submitted the following order:

Ordered That the Comptroller be requested to report the
companies in which the State Tobacco Warehouses are in-
sured, and the amount of insurance held upon each House.

Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Kean,

Leave was granted to the Allegany county delegation to
introduce a bill to refund to George Herring, of Allegany
county, the sum of $400, paid as a fine by him to the State
of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Mr. McLean,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill for the relief of Margaret H. Armstrong,
of Baltimore county.

Also,

Leave to introduce a bill to incorporate a House of Refuge
for colored children, of Baltimore city and the State of Mary-
land, and making an appropriation therefor.

On motion of Mr. Blake,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to re-
port a bill to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to issue bonds of the city, for the purpose of providing
means for the improvement of Jones' Falls.

Also,

Leave to report a bill to ratify an ordinance of the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, to provide for the improve-
ment of Jones' Falls.

On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
