Potomac Steamboat Company may issue them in
such form as will enable the holder or holders
thereof to convert and exchange each of said bonds
into shares of the capital stock of the said Potomac
Steamboat Company, at par, at such time prior to
their maturity as may be stipulated for on the face

of the bond, with or without the right to the
holders of said stock to vote thereon, as the said
Company may have determined at the time of the
issue of said bonds, for which purpose the Potomac
Steamboat Company are empowered to increase
their capital stock to such an amount, not exceed-
ing one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, as will
enable them to carry out the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Act
entitled, "An Act to incorporate the Potomac
Steamboat Company," passed March 9, 1850, with
the amendments herein provided, be and the same
is hereby continued in full force for the period of
twenty-one years from the passage hereof, and no
longer, and the Legislature hereby reserves the
right to alter, amend or repeal this Act at its
pleasure.

CHAPTER 39.

AN ACT to amend Section ten of Article fifty-one
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
" Justices of the Peace."
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section ten, Article fifty-one,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Justices of the Peace," be amended and re-en-
acted so as to read as follows:

Amended.
|
Sec. 10. If a Justice in Baltimore City dies, re-
signs, or is removed, the delivery of the docket
and papers shall be made to the Clerk of the City
Court within the time mentioned in the preceding
Sections; and the Clerk of the Court of Common
Pleas is hereby required to transfer the dockets of

Dockets of
Justices.
