ton, Standish, Shower, German, Gordy.
Mr. Gorman presented

The petition of Eli Rhodes, of Howard county, a soldier of
the war of 1812, asking for a.pension.
Also,
The petition of P. Hobbs, of Howard county, a soldier of

the war of 1812, asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Richard Downs, of Howard county, a sol-
dier of the war of 1812, asking for a pension.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee

on Pensions.

Mr. Touchstone presented the following petitions:

The petition of William Patterson, of Cecil county, asking
for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Sarah Sanders, of Cecil county, asking for a
pension.

Also,

The petition of James Ewing, of Cecil county, asking for a
pension.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Baldwin, of Harford, presented the following peti-
tions :

The petition of Christian Baker and John Geisey for com-
pensation.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Also,

The petition of Gabriel A. McComas, Jas. A. Amos and
40 others, asking for a modification of the present School
System.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation .

Mr. Cameron presented the petition of Matilda Worth-
ington, of Baltimore county, widow of Nicholas D. Worth-
ington, a soldier of the war of 1812-14, praying for a pen-
sion.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Wiley presented the petition of Mary Eliza Bevan for
a pension.
