CHAPTER 27.
AN ACT to refund to John R. Robertson, late
Sheriff of Charles County, the sum of forty-
nine dollars and fourteen cents, being interest
upon the balance of his account as adjusted by
the Comptroller, September thirtieth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-nine, under Act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter two hundred
and ten.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That on the warrant of the Comp-
troller the Treasurer is hereby directed to pay to
the order of John R. Robertson, late Sheriff of
Charles County, the sum of forty-nine dollars and
fourteen cents, being the interest upon the balance
of his account as adjusted by the Comptroller,
September thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-
nine, which payment has been recommended by
Wm. J. Leonard, the late Comptroller, and R.
Fowler, Treasurer of the State, while in office.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 28.
AN ACT entitled A Supplement to the Act en-
titled "An Act to create and incorporate the Mon-
ocacy and Montgomery Turnpike Company,"
Chapter one hundred and seventy-nine, passed
January Session eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
to repeal Sections two, three and seven thereof,
and re-enact the same with amendments ;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections two, three and seven,
entitled, an Act to create and incorporate the
Monocacy and Montgomery Turnpike Company,
Chapter one hundred and seventy-nine, passed
January Session eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
be and the same are hereby repealed, and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
