plying the city of Baltimore with water, or so near
thereto as to pollute or discolor the water therein,
the person or persons so offending shall forfeit and
pay a sum not exceeding fifty dollars, and the fur-
ther sum of ten dollars for each and every day the
same shall remain after notice to remove the same
shall have been given.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 26.

AN ACT to incorporate the Cecil Fire Brick Com-
pany, in Cecil County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John W. McCall, James H.
Hollingsworth, Henry S. Condon, Benjamin F.

Wells, Marshall Brinton, John W. Wells and
Jacob W. Hill, their associates, successors and
assigns, be and they are hereby incorporated and
created a corporation and body politic by the name
|
Brick Com-
pany.
|
of the Cecil Fire Brick Company, and by that
name may have perpetual succession, sue and be
sued, make and use a common seal, and alter the
same at pleasure, and may do and perform fill
such other acts in relation to the object and pur-
poses of the incorporation hereinafter declared
and necessary for the exercise of the powers and
rights granted to the said corporation by this Act,
which any corporate body may do; provided such
Acts shall not be contrary to law.

Object.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects and
purposes of this corporation are declared to be the
manufacture of fire brick crucibles and tiles, and
such other articles as may be made of clay, or of
clay and sand combined, at the pleasure of the
said corporation; and for their objects and pur-
poses, the said corporation is hereby empowered
to purchase and hold alien and dispose of lands
and factories, in fee simple, or for any other estate,
